My Soul Is Worn Out

My soul is worn out

From its fretting about

Things I can't control

That wage war with my soul...

His love compels us,

Not frenetic angst~

The Love of Jesus,

Not fighting against...

God reaches in love ~

He touches our pain,

Draws our eyes above ~

For He killed death's bane.

Death is but shadow

That blocks out the sun;

Light is what matters

Restored by the Son.

The dark will not stay

For His love breaks through,

Turns death's night to day ~

Eternal Rescue.

To get through death's night ~

"See" by faith, not sight!

I Saw My Daddy...

I saw my Daddy last night

When I looked by faith, not sight...

He looked so debonair

So handsome, young, with dark hair...

I shared with him it was hard

When to his doctor I'd implored,

"Is there not a way to save

My precious daddy from the grave...?"

When there was none, I'd had to share

the news with him, and watch him stare...

Daddy smiled at me, and said,

"It's okay baby: I'm not dead!"

Of course! Startled, I recognized,

I'm talking to him! He's alive!

Then I turned to him as my dad,

"I lost my baby, I'm so sad!"

He hugged me close and said, "I know."

I cried, recalled his child-loss blow,

And knew anew he understood

A parent's angst in Death's Wood.

He hugged me close; I felt his warmth

As his tenderness all 'round me swarmed.

"You've got to look by faith my child

Your baby's not dead; she's alive!"

So sweet to spend time with my dad

And remember true ~ Life's not all sad...

Father, I can hardly wait

To see my loved ones at Heav'ns Gate!

God looks down in sweetest peace ~

"He can see now...who by faith, sees!"

"Humbled Lord, I fall to my knees,

Open th' eyes of my soul Lord, please!"

To Where You Are

~Josh Groban

Who can say for certain

Maybe you're still here

I feel you all around me

Your memories so clear

Deep in the stillness

I can hear you speak

You're still an inspiration

Can it be?

That you are mine

Forever love

And you are watching over me

From up above

Fly me up to where you are

Beyond the distant star

I wish upon tonight

To see you smile

If only for awhile

To know you're there

A breath away's not far

To where you are

Are you gently sleeping

Here inside my dream

And isn't faith believing

All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you

Just one beat away

I cherish all you gave me

Every day

Cause you are mine

Forever love

Watching me from up above

And I believe that angels breathe

And that love will live on

And never leave

Fly me up

To where you are

Beyond the distant star

I wish upon tonight

To see you smile

If only for awhile

To know you're there

A breath away's not far

To where you are

I know you're there

A breath away's not far

To where you are.
