Monday's Mourning Ministry – Praise You in This Storm

Monday's Mourning Ministry

Praise You in This Storm

Despite our war-torn grieving hearts, may we know God loves us and comes to be with us in this storm. I do not know how I could endure this pain in my crushed heart, crushed like the rose petals in the storm if I did not know the love that comes from Above.

I lift up my eyes to the hills--

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of Heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip

He who watches over you will not slumber:

indeed He who watches over (you)

will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you

~Psalm 121:1-5a

Praise You in This Storm

Casting Crowns

I was sure by now

God You would have reached down

And wiped our tears away

Stepped in and saved the day,

But once again I say "Amen,"

And it's still raining

As the thunder rolls

I barely hear You whisper through the rain,

"I'm with you."

And as Your mercy falls

I raise my hands

And praise the God who gives

And takes away

I'll praise You in this storm

And I will lift my hands

For you are who You are

No matter where I am

And every tear I cry

You hold in Your hand

You never left my side

And though my heart is torn,

I will praise You in this storm

I remember when

I stumbled in the wind

You heard my cry

You raised me up again

My strength is almost gone

How can I carry on

If I can't find You

And as the thunder rolls,

I barely hear You whisper

through the rain, "I'm with you"

And as Your mercy falls

I raise my hands

And praise the God who gives

And takes away

I'll praise you in this storm

And I will lift my hands

For You are who you are

No matter where I am

Every tear I've cried

You hold in Your hand

You never left my side

And though my heart is torn

I'll praise You in the storm

I lift my eyes unto the hils

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord

The Maker of Heaven and Earth

I lift my eyes unto the hils

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord

The Maker of Heaven and Earth

I'll praise You in this storm

And I will lift my hands

For You are who You are

no matter where I am

Every tear I've cried

You hold in Your hand

You never let my side

And though my heart is torn,

I will praise You in this storm

And though my heart is torn,

I will praise You in this storm

*****

And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

~Matthew 28:20b

That is so beautiful, Angie! Thank you for sharing it. That's the only way we can get through life and the storms and pain that crush the heart. What a blessing to know God's loving presence with us through everything! Praying God's blessings on you always.
